Daniel Jethanamest, MD

Dr. Daniel Jethanamest is a board certified and fellowship trained neurotologist specializing in the care of ear disorders in both children and adults. He is currently practicing at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Dr. Jethanamest attended Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, was elected to the Engineering Honor Society Tau Beta Phi and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. He utilized his training as a software engineer prior to attending New York University School of Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Jethanamest remained at NYU to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery under the direction of Dr. J. Thomas Roland. He then completed an accredited two-year subspecialty fellowship in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at the prestigious University of Miami Ear Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Thomas Balkany, Dr. Fred Telischi and Dr. Simon Angeli. Upon completing fellowship, he returned to New York and joined the faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology at NYU. While caring for patients with all forms of ear related disorders, Dr. Jethanamest also continues to apply his unique background in computer science to innovative translational research in the field of cochlear implantation and improving patient outcomes.
